Grants

Building Improvement Grants assist business and property owners by helping to fund awnings and exterior improvements to properties, encouraging historic preservation, meeting ecological standards and building codes, and promoting projects that enhance the planned development of historic downtown Sanford. A copy of the application can be downloaded following this link for the Building Improvements Grant.

Owners and tenants of any commercial building located within the municipal service district are eligible to apply for the Building Improvement Grant, with the building owner’s written permission.
